After over 15 years of helping people design and furnish their Algarve homes we have built up an extensive portfolio. Perhaps more interesting (and arguably more relevant) is our more recent work. Trends, fashions, even styles, come and go in the furniture world but we remain consistent in the quality we deliver.
At Casa e Jardim we appreciate furniture for it’s quality whether it be classic or contemporary in form.
We have the fortune to have clients with diverse tastes and styles. This is depicted in the furniture we supply.
Here is a selection of what we have been doing this year, both in the shop and for our clients. It gives an insight into the variety of our furniture and the adaptability and flexibility of our services.
The end of September saw the 2016 Homeing Exhibition. This was the second exhibition of it’s kind held at the beautiful Convento do Beato in Lisbon.
Homeing 2016 was pure interior design and home living and Casa e Jardim was there to support the trade fair.
The Convent do Beato is a historic building now hosting social and trade events.
The trade only event consisted of 76 manufacturers and suppliers in the soft furnishing and fabric categories.
With a 25% increased trade presence over 2015 Homeing Lisboa is now a fixed trade show and a must visit for the sector.
There was an increased presence of lighting at Homeing 2016. These beautiful pendant lights from Danish specialist Vita caught our eye.
Expect to see them in the showroom this A/W.
This nicely finished tv unit from local furniture designers Botaca represents a new range for them and follows a trend into this 'Scandinavian' style well represented by Spanish suppliers. We love Botaca at Casa e Jardim and their Ttime range is always a favourite with our clients.
Casa e Jardim in association with Moradillo® presents a new range of sofas now in the showroom.
What better way to enjoy the hot Algarve summer weather than relaxing on this wonderful 'Romantic' Point daybed.
The Romantic measures 180cm in diameter and is available with or without the canopy.
Nine 'scatter' cushions are included and even the giant round bed cushion is fully zipped for easy removal for washing.
Here's one we delivered this summer to Quinta do Lago, and what a perfect choice of fabric to complement the recently re-tiled swimming pool.

Our favourite classic furniture can be given a contemporary twist by using rich colours in the finish. This Provence piece is a Casa e Jardim classic.
We recently delivered this stunning Ttime mini sofa to a colourful house in Vale do lobo. Ttime is a strikingly individual range of chairs and sofas by Portuguese manufacturer Botaca.
We supplied this stunning Teak exterior table to an equally beautiful house in the Monchique hills.
At 240cm long it's bigger than it looks in the image. There is also a smaller version. As with all Expormim furniture the quality is fantastic.
This elegant contemporary TV unit by Britos was ordered in Walnut to complement the existing furniture scheme.
The usual very high quality of Brito's is exemplified by the technical internal fittings, finished in stainless steel and with very smooth mechanisms.
The splayed legs are attached with stainless steel plates screws.
A great example of the quality and attention to detail in this excellent range of furniture.
Some of the older apartments in Vale do Lobo have a classic charm about them but the interiors are often past their sell be date.
Casa e Jardim have been helping numerous clients who have purchased such an apartment or duplex to renovate.
This example modernised and refreshed a bedroom using a contemporary Catia platform bed and a 'spring-free' mattress. The client was so delighted they purchased a second one.
Another renovation in Bovis Lakeside Village.
Whist often a tricky project to get right these voile curtains worked out perfectly suspended from a recessed ceiling.
New from Botaca for 2016 is the Jacinto armchair.
We loved it so we bought one for the showroom.
Jacinto works well with different colours/fabric back and front, so we upholstered ours in two different fabrics from Romo's Linara collection.
Fabric - Linara Charcoal and Linara Scala Quince by Romo from the Cubis catalogue.
In March we supplied a number of pieces to a house in Vilamoura from the Expormim Living Inside range.
The furniture is made from European Oak and the client chose all pieces finished with Kerlite® porcelain. This technical surface finish is ultra hard wearing yet beautiful to the eye and the touch. It is available for both interior and exterior furniture.
The dining table is stunning and the Kerlite® top was made to special dimensions to easily accommodate 8.
The sideboards featured Kerlite® doors and the coffee tables also had durable Kerlite® tops.
We have just added to our showroom examples of Provence with three beautiful new pieces.
We recently delivered more of our favourite Provence furniture to the far west of the Algarve. Here's a great example of how adaptable Provence furniture is in this beautiful bedroom set of bedsides and chest of drawers.
Here's a fantastic new line in exterior and patio rugs from MASalgueiro for 2016 - 'KiriBati'.
In addition to their wonderful Tatami ranges MAS have created a quirky and contemporary collection called Kiribati.
Made in Polypropylene these rugs are completely exterior proof and fully resistant to the Algarve's harsh U.V. rays.
Maintenance is as easy as an occasional wash with a hose pipe.
Available in 4 colourful patterns Kiribati has a great price too; only €105 for the 160x230 cm size and €165 for the 200 x 290 cm size.
We have these great interior/exterior rugs in stock to take away.
As we write (11/04/16) the Milan Fair 2016 is starting. 'Salone del Mobile, Milano' is Europe's biggest professional fair and arguably the trade's most important.
(The two Paris fairs, spring and autumn are pretty much equal in scope and size).
Casa & Jardim's favourite Spanish manufacturer Expormim will be displaying a number of new items at the fair and this 'Livit' sofa below caught our eye.
What better way to spend a lazy summer afternoon than sliding from sitting to lounging/dozing in the cleverly designed arm of this beautiful contemporary sofa/chaise?
A recent addition to our LaSofa range and now with an example at our showroom, we present the Tivoli sofa.
The Tivoli is a low, deep sofa with soft cushions and contemporary high sides.
We have used the fabric 'Dear' by Aldeco in colour 01 Cloud (see 1st image below) but the Tivoli is equally charming in leather.
See here for full details.
These beautiful Ttime chairs and chaise-longue by Botaca transformed this apartment near Quarteira.
Whilst Botaca is contemporary furniture in nature the client chose rich, weighty fabrics which gives the sofa and chairs a classic feel.
The fabric is from the 'Brunch' collection by GLMadrid, currently very popular at Casa e Jardim.
Fantastic quality Portuguese furniture and beautiful Spanish fabrics. This is Algarve furniture at it's best.
We have recently added these Torino chairs to the showroom.
Not only is the Torino from our LaSofa collection a beautiful contemporary chair but add this stunning 'Quanta Rocoto' decorative weave fabric from the Zenith range, (part of the Black collection by Romo) and we'd suggest you've found the ultimate in dining luxury. Needless to say there's a price to pay. Torino costs €278 plus fabric. That's very reasonable for a chair of this quality. The Romo fabric takes it to a new level. Quanta Rocoto costs €188,50 a meter and the chair requires 1 and 1/2 meters. That's more for the fabric than the chair. We think you will agree though that it's an extraordinary combination.
More can be found on the Torino chair here - https://www.casaejardim.pt/interior/dining_chairs/
Further information on the Zenith collection by Romo and in particular Quanta Rocoto can be found here - https://www.blackedition.com/collections/zenith/quanta/rocoto
It's always a pleasure to deliver our favourite classic furniture by Provence and this 'Carte Blanche' combination was no exception.
The sideboard, mirror and two dining chairs were added to an existing dining table and chairs for clint who have recently extended their Vale do Lobo home.
A matching vitrine with LED lighting completed the dining area.
This house high on the Santa Barbara hills just north of faro boasts one of the best 'vistas' in an area renown for beautiful views.
Our client choose a wonderfully eclectic mix of contemporary and classic furniture mixing modern Spanish pieces with classic Portuguese carpentry.
Provence is our favourite classic furniture at Casa e Jardim. Beautifully made in solid Cherry wood it has the features and form of the highest quality traditional furniture but, cleverly, the plethora of finishes, allows for a contemporary twist, making Provence furniture at home in any style of home.
The end of 2015 saw us introduce a new line into the C&J showrooms from Portuguese master furniture makers 'Botaca.
One of our favourite from Botaca has always been their T.Time range so we added a T.Time sofa, armchair and pouffe to the shop display.
At the same time we delivered this stunning Chaise to a client in Albufeira.
The 'Veneza Chaise' is a luxurious 'long chair' (French translation) with an Oak stained base and deep feather composite cushions.
This particular example was ordered as a 'special', being a little shorter than the standard size.
(At Casa e Jardim we can stiller the dimensions of almost all the interior furniture we sell to your requirement for little, if any, additional cost).
Belar (another high quality Portuguese manufacturer) also produce simple but stunning Chaise. Here's one we delivered to a client in Sta Barbara.
(small table by Provence and curtains in Zaki).
In 2015 we introduced the stunning interior and exterior ranges of contemporary furniture from Spanish manufacturer Expormim to our showroom.
Everything they produce is truly beautiful and the Slats dining table is a perfect example of the quality and design flair of this solid wood furniture.
We showcase a Slats water-varnished table in our shop and so many clients fall in love with it at first glance.
Of course a 42mm thick solid European Oak table on solid 1cm thick Aluminium support isn't for the budget conscious. Slats retails at from €2885 for the 180cm version up to €3259 for the largest 240cm size. The solid Oak is available in 5 finish stains: water, white, grey, dark and black.
For 2016 customers who would like this unique table can now opt for a more economical alternative with a veneer version in the same finish stains and solid Aluminium legs but at over 40% less than the solid version: Slats Veneer retails at from €1656 for the 180cm version up to €1819 for the largest 240cm size.
A further option of a lacquered top in 11 colours at a similar price point to the veneer top completes the options.
We have both solid and veneer examples on display in the showroom. (see images below).
