‘Rattan Chairs’
Expormim was founded, in Moixent, Spain, on a speciality of rattan weaving.
And now, over 55 years later, Expormim pays tribute to its earliest furniture pieces, which were popular for their comfort, sturdiness and durability. Customers are amazed by the pieces of furniture they purchased at Expormim 50 years ago, pieces they still use today as if they were brand new.
Now with a resurgence of rattan in the design of contemporary furniture Expormim and Casa e Jardim are bringing rattan back from Asian manufacture to it’s Iberian home.

‘Coqueta’

Coqueta treasures a great deal of Expormim’s DNA. Renewed for the contemporary age.

‘Huma’

“Huma is a rattan chair, a project that tries to keep the classic philosophy of the rattan production process but at the same time engages in a research for greater confort, through the use of flexible ribs in the backrest and an upholstered seat”.

‘Fontal’ Armchair

Fontal is born from the desire to restore both rattan as a noble material and Spain’s rich handicraft tradition. The traditional corbels and ties are used as linking elements with the twinning of one cane to the next. This innovative solution results in a flexible yet resistant structure that weighs very little. A light, warm and likeable chair as well as luxurious.
